The SEMA Show in Las Vegas is always an opportunity for after-market tuners and carmakers to come together and strut their stuff. Because of this, it’s no surprise that Hyundai has joined together with multiple tuners to offer some brand-new concept cars during the show on November 1st.
The Hyundai 2016 SEMA Show lineup consists of five new models—the skunkworks race concept, “Santa-Fast” Santa Fe, Rockstar Santa Fe Concept, Gurnade Veloster Concept, and ARK Elantra Concept.
Hyundai’s skunkworks race concept offers pure racing power, setting the stage for the rest of the concept cars. The majority of the concept cars seem like they are ready to hit the track with plenty of performance. For the “Santa-Fast” Santa Fe model, Hyundai teamed up with Bisimoto to outfit the crossover SUV with a 1,040-horsepower turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine.
The Gurnade Veloster Concept and ARK Elantra concepts also got the performance treatment with the Veloster receiving performance-oriented style cues like integrated flares, a front splitter, and lightweight forged wheels; the ARK Elantra also saw an aggressive, road-racing ready overhaul with a custom new front and rear fascia design and racing wheels.
To create the Rockstar Santa Fe concept, the Korean carmaker joined forces with Rockstar Performance Garage, creating the nitrous-powered 3.3-liter V6 engine that sends power to all four wheels.
Each of these performance-oriented vehicles highlights the Hyundai lineup’s ability to offer superior power. Find out what the regular production Hyundai models have to offer at Riverhead Hyundai.
