There are well over two dozen automakers to keep track of, so it’s understandable if you fall behind on the latest innovations. Hyundai is a fast-paced manufacturer that delivers on customer requests and more year after year. Here’s a quick look at what’s new for Hyundai in 2017 from us here at Riverhead Hyundai!
The 2017 Elantra has been updated for the model year with two new engines. The Eco model boasts a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 128 hp and earns up to an EPA-estimated 40 mpg highway. Drivers can also opt for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 hp.
The Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport SUVs get a few updates of their own with a modernized appearance that features new front and rear fascias as well as LED clusters. Both models also offer a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, and other advanced technologies.
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine returns to the Santa Fe Sport with improved fuel economy and a mode selector that features three driving modes: sport, eco, and normal.
With plenty of new updates comes a few sad announcements as well. The Hyundai Genesis has moved on to a brand of its own and is no longer available in the lineup. The Equus has followed suit and is no longer available as well.
